Free Letter H Worksheets
Whether you’re a homeschooling mom like me or you’re looking for fun worksheets for your classroom, these Letter H printables are for you! I created multiple sheets that focus on identifying and writing capital H and lowercase h. I also made Letter H worksheets that allow students to find the initial /h/ sound in pictures. All of my worksheets are completely free to print and use with your kids!
Capital and Lowercase Hh
The first set of worksheets ask students to differentiate between the letter H and other letters of the alphabet. My kids love using various art supplies to color in the bubbles where the letter H is hiding. We’ve used finger paints, crayons, and dot markers to complete these sheets.
Additionally, you’ll find a letter H printable where students can sort capital H and lowercase h. This worksheet also allows kids to use their fine motor skills as they cut and glue the letter tiles in the correct spots. I recommend these sheets for pre-k and kindergarten students, but you could also use them with toddlers who are learning their letters.
Letter Hh Handwriting
I don’t know about you, but I’m a stickler for neat handwriting. My second set of worksheets features directions on correctly forming capital H and lowercase h. Students have space to trace each letter as well as write the letters on their own.
Note that I also added handwriting lines at the top of the page where students can neatly write their names. There’s also a fun box of mixed up letters at the top where kids can search for their focus letter.
Letter H Sound Sheets
Finally, I created initial /h/ sound sheets for students who are ready for letter sounds. These work great with Kindergarten and first grade kiddos. One worksheet instructs students to circle the pictures that start with /h/ while the other sheet allows them to cut and glue the correct pictures. My kids also enjoy coloring all the pictures on the pages.
You can incorporate these Letter H worksheets into your classroom in multiple ways. I used to lay them on students’ desks for morning work when I was teaching elementary school. I’ve also used them during differentiated small group instruction time.
