Free Printable Letter F Worksheets

eleven worksheets featuring the letter f

“F” stands for fun! Your students will love completing these letter Ff worksheets that focus on all sorts of letter skills. I created these printables to allow kids to practice recognizing and writing capital and lowercase F. They can also work on identifying pictures with the beginning and ending /f/ sound. I tried to incorporate fine motor skills like cutting and coloring into the collection as well. These worksheets are perfect for preschool, kindergarten, and first grade students!

Identify Letter F

The letter F identification sheets feature a sorting activity where students distinguish between capital F and lowercase f. I also created sheets that allow students to use crayons, finger paint, or dot markers to color bubbles containing the focus letter. I tried to make these somewhat advanced by including letters (like E) that look similar to the letter F. This requires students to really focus on the shape of the focus letter.

I suggest using these worksheets with pre-K or Kindergarten students. Although some toddlers could probably handle finding the letters. When I taught Kindergarten, I used these types of worksheets during morning work time and differentiated small groups. But you can incorporate them in whatever way works best for your classroom.

Letter F Handwriting

My handwriting worksheets focus on both capital F and lowercase f. Students can use the handwriting guide at the top of the sheet to see how to properly form the letter. Then, they can trace and write the letter independently on the lines.

I added a box at the top of each sheet where students can identify and circle the target letter. These handwriting worksheets are great for lower elementary school aged children. I even use them with my second grader at home to work on her penmanship!

Letter F Sound Sheets

I love these letter sound sheets because they feature both initial and final /f/. The worksheets that instruct students to circle the pictures allow teachers to quickly assess mastery. My kids always enjoy coloring the pictures on these as well. The cut and glue sheets offer a great way for students to practice their fine motor skills.
