Easy Rainbow Charcuterie Board

As we gear up for spring, my kids and I wanted to come up with some fun snack board ideas. And what better way to celebrate the season and the St. Patrick’s Day holiday than with a Rainbow Charcuterie Board?

This colorful display was easy to make and equally as fun to eat! The best part is you can substitute the ingredients we used for lots of other fruits, vegetables, and foods.

What You Need

My older daughter received the cutest charcuterie board kit for Christmas, and we’ve been having a blast using it! The kit comes with:

• kid-friendly knives
• a cutting board
• a small, wooden board
• cookie cutters
• charcuterie board idea cards

You’ll notice that on our board, we substituted some of the foods to better fit our tastes. Our rainbow charcuterie board consisted of:

• pepperoni slices
• Colby-Jack cheese
• crackers
• green grapes
• blueberries
• provolone cheese

You can change out any of the items above. The important thing is to keep the colors as close to the rainbow as possible. We’re even planning on incorporating strawberries, bananas, and purple grapes into a future rainbow fruit tray!

Designing the Rainbow Board

This rainbow charcuterie board was easy to make that my kids did most of the work on their own. We just layered each of the ingredients in the correct color order to create a rainbow design.

My girls created the clouds out of provolone cheese slices and one of the kit’s cookie cutters. You could easily get the same effect with marshmallows or another creamy/white food.

This turned out to be a really great experience for our family as my daughters had to work together and take turns placing the items on the board. They were also able to practice their cutting skills (with adult supervision of course).
