To make your St. Patrick’s Day Pictionary game extra special, consider the following tips:
- Create Teams: Divide the family or students into teams and let the friendly competition begin. (Bonus points for team names inspired by Irish charm!)
- Dress in Green: Encourage everyone to wear their best shades of green. You can even award a “Best Dressed” prize to the person with the most festive attire.
- Irish Snacks: Prepare some Irish-inspired snacks like shamrock-shaped cookies, rainbow fruit skewers, or even a traditional Irish soda bread.
- Capture the Memories: Don’t forget to capture the laughter and joy with a camera or smartphone. These moments are the ones you’ll want to look back on at the end of the year.
St. Patrick’s Day Pictionary Cards
St. Patrick’s Day Pictionary requires very little preparation. Just print and cut out our Pictionary cards below. (You may even want to print them on card stock and laminate them to use next year.) Prepare a board for drawing (chalkboard, dry erase board, paper, etc.) and drawing materials (markers, chalk, pencils, etc.). Create two teams and a place on your board to keep score. And that’s it!
How to Play:
- Place the Pictionary cards in a basket or face down in a pile.
- A member from Team #1 should draw a Pictionary card from the pile or basket. Once the illustrator begins drawing, the team members on Team #1 get one minute to guess the drawing. If they correctly guess the illustration, they get one point.
- At the end of the minute, play moves to Team #2.
- Continue rotating between the two teams until all of the cards have been used.
The team with the most points at the end of the game wins! You could even prepare prizes for the winners in advance for some extra fun.
